Regular Council Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 23 19, 2026 at 5:30pm at the Village offices located at 1 Simmons Avenue, Peebles, OH 45660. The public is encouraged to attend and participate in all monthly scheduled Council meetings. If you would like to be added to the agenda, please contact the Fiscal Officer at (937) 587-3389. Mayor's Court is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 4:30pm at the Village offices located at 1 Simmons Avenue, Peebles, OH 45660. Defendants are expected to attend Mayor's Court each month until citations and fees are paid in full. How it All Began
History
Peebles was founded in 1881 with the building of the railroad through that territory. It was named for John G. Peebles, who was instrumental in bringing the railroad to the settlement. That railroad was the Cincinnati & Eastern Railroad, today the Cincinnati Eastern Railroad (CCET).

Peebles High School is a public high school located in Peebles, Ohio. It is one of three high schools in the Adams County/Ohio Valley School District.
